Next to the onslaught of new anime series at the start of this new season, am eagerly looking forward to several anime movies that are worth mentioning in this separate post.
The anime adaptation of Nitroplus/5pb game “Robotics;Notes” recently completed its televised run, while it was a decent series overall, it did not reach the level of its predecessor “Steins;Gate” which was a truly outstanding anime. Hence am anxious to see the “Steins;Gate Fuka Ryouiki no Déjà vu” movie which will no doubt be as epic as the series.
After a foray into a different visual style that I personally wasn’t so very fond of with “Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo”, Makoto Shinkai returns with “Kotonoha no Niwa”. Visually closer to the style of his other works such as the sublime “5 Centimeters Per Second” movie and promising an emotional, moving story, cannot wait to see Makoto Shinkai’s newest oeuvre.
Another movie am keen on watching is “Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home” which is currently running in movie theaters in Japan. Following the 2011 original anime series by PA Works with character designs by Kishida Mel, the movie tells an all new story of Ohana’s time at Kissuisou.
Not too sure yet about the “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku ~Outbreak~” movie though, may watch it later someday when it’s released on DVD or BluRay.
