Got the opportunity to pick up the irresistibly cute Snow Miku: Strawberry White Kimono Version nendoroid at the Made in Asia 5 convention where the event exclusive figure was available at the Good Smile Company booth.

Had not expected to be able to photograph this cute winter themed nendoroid incarnation of Hatsune Miku in a snow filled landscape so soon, but as luck would have it, the day after Made in Asia it snowed quite a bit!

Although there was lots of cloud cover and it was freezing cold, couldn’t pass up on such an opportunity so headed outside to capture some shots of Miku in the snow.

With her umbrella, veil and snow bunny she looks simply adorable when posed in a snow filled landscape.

Ventured out the following day as well since the skies had really cleared up, making the setting even more appealing for some photography.

This also prompted me to omit using effect presets for these few shots while processing the raw captures in Adobe Lightroom as their overall brightness was plenty and quite liked the look of them.

After photographing Dollfie Dream for so long, it was a refreshing change of pace to go about with a nendoroid.

While such a nendoroid figure is easier to carry around than a Dollfie Dream, its small parts can be prone to falling off or getting lost.

Switched to Snow Miku’s alternative hair piece on the second day, even though am more fond of the veil version where her twin tails are tied up as it gives her a more mature and serene look.

Managed to get a nice capture with some snow on Miku’s face, mimicking as if she’d been in a snowball fight.

Chose to process some shots with a preset filter that creates a vintage look, which suits Miku’s traditional Japanese kimono attire well, creating the illusion that we may be looking at an old photo from a long bygone era.
