Some more photos made using the Fujian 35mm f/1.7 CCTV lens mounted on a Sony A7 Mark II using a simple E-mount adaptor, this time the subject is Dollfie Dream Tsukiko, a Saber Alter v2 model by Volks.
Of course, this lens is not a sharp or high quality optic like the Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 lens, but it allows you to create fun, quirky photo captures, especially with the right lighting conditions.
Although it is normally quite soft and tends to look unfocused, the Fujian 35mm f/1.7 CCTV lens I purchased came with macro ring adaptors which once installed, allow for surprisingly sharp up-close captures once you stop down.
Tsukiko is clad in a white dress shirt from Volks and black jeans from Nine9Style. Originally from the “K-ON!” school uniform set, this white dress shirt by Volks is quite short and tight, even on an M bust body, allowing to create a more stylish or daring look.
Based on the captures have made so far with this fun little lens, personally feel it yields the best results when used in bright lighting, or similar conditions where its specific characteristics and typical visual rendering allow you to create interesting images.
