Anime fall season 2015

The autumn anime season is here! This past season, ended up watching a lot more series than had initially expected, however the new season promises to be different as not many shows in the fall line-up piqued my interest.

Two shows I will definitely watch are “Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka??” and “Yuru Yuri San Hai”.
Am looking forward the most to “Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka??”, the second season of the wonderful slice-of-life anime based on the manga by Koi. Absolutely adored the first season of this enchanting and lovely slice-of-life anime.

The other show I simply must watch is “Yuru Yuri San Hai”, the third season of the leisurely yuri school comedy full of silly shenanigans by its cast of oddball characters. Generally do prefer yuri genre shows that are more committed to showing genuine yuri relationships, the “Yuru Yuri” franchise however like its title says delivers ‘easygoing’ yuri where most emphasis is on the comedy and innuendo.

Am looking forward to “Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru”, the promotional video of this anime based on a mystery light novel series looks like it may have a unique atmosphere, and the relationship between its main characters Sakurako and Shoutarou might provide plenty of depth and verbal banter.

Was surprised by the amount of of action series that seem worth to try. Although the previous Gundam series, “Gundam: G no Reconguista”, was nothing less than an absolute disaster, “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans” looks more promising. The trailer suggests it could be a darker, heavier and overall more bloody Gundam series so I will check it out.

Been a while since I watched an over-the-top action anime so am keen on giving “One Punch Man” a try. While this show has been heavily advertised, read good comments about it from readers of the original manga who are anxious to watch the anime.

Definitely watching “Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen”, the anime based on the Playstation visual novel game, sequel to the original “Utawarerumono” game which already had its own anime adaptation air almost ten years ago.
The abundance of kemonomimi girls in this show may play a part in my decision.

Also promising plenty of action is “Noragami Aragoto”, sequel of the “Noragami” supernatural action anime. Did enjoy the first season, but was rather disappointed by some of its character development and its rather lackluster ending, so am unsure if I will watch through all of this second season.

There’s a few anime shorts am keen on trying. At first glance “Anitore! EX” sounds like it might be a cute idol slice-of-life anime, but it is likely to be similar to the “Training with Hinako” video as it will feature cute idols doing various exercises. Hence, doubt if this will be worth to watch.

Another show that looks promising on the surface as possibly similar to a great anime like “Koufuku Graffiti” is “JK-Meshi”, a slice-of-life comedy about school girls cooking. However, read it may be more like an actual cooking show, teaching the audience how to cook specific dishes, so am somewhat unsure about it.

“Komori-san wa Kotowarenai!” looks more interesting than the above two anime shorts, it’s labeled as a slice-of-life comedy about the daily life of a happy school girl who goes around fulfilling people’s requests.

Could watch “K: Return of Kings” but the first season of this supernatural powers action anime, which although visually superb, was too much of a mess in terms of plot and character development, so think I will just skip it.

What do you plan on watching this fall?
