Saw an advertisement a while ago from Crunchyroll that they offered “Kantai Collection: KanColle” T-shirts for sale in the apparel section of their online store, each shirt featuring a Crunchyroll exclusive KanColle character print.
Offered at a fair price, Premium members receive a nice percentage off the default price, so it was definitely worth to try out some of anime themed T-shirts from Crunchyroll.
Wasn’t especially smitten on the design of the Akagi shirt, but adore the Shimakaze and Kongo designs, so pre-ordered them and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived on my doorstep earlier this week.
First impressions of these KanColle T-shirts by Crunchyroll is positive, their quality seems good, the fabric is very soft and the sizing is correct. Recently many shirts feature sleeves that are too short and small for my personal preference, luckily these have decent sleeves. A feature I appreciate is the lack of a cumbersome sown-in tag, favoring an printed tag instead.
If I were to fault these Crunchyroll T-shirts anywhere it would be that the printed illustrations are a bit darker than advertised and have some aliasing/jagged lines, which is a real shame. While the fabric is nice, it’s not as sturdy as the average Cospa shirt, so overall they’re not quite Cospa quality yet.
You can order these KanColle T-shirts from the Crunchyroll store.
