At Comiket 86, this year’s summer edition of the vent that took place last weekend, Kantoku from the circle “Afterschool of the 5th Year” published a new volume of his ‘Tachiyoumi Senyou’ doujin series.
Following volume 34 which was released at C85, this new doujin contains full page color illustrations featuring characters from recent anime series which include “Nagi no Asukara”, “No Game, No Life”, “Atelier Escha & Logy ~Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi~”, “Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okaishiin da ga” and “Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda”

My favorite artwork from this doujin is undoubtedly this gorgeous and somewhat daring illustration of Chisaki and Manaka from “Nagi no Asukara”.
There are also some illustrations in the book from currently airing series like “Barakamon” and “Sword Art Online II”.

Except for a few black and white rough sketches, this volume surprisingly features nearly no art of Kantoku’s mascot characters Kurumi and Shizuku.
Perhaps they will be more extensively featured in an another upcoming book, maybe in a new volume of the artist’s ‘Check’ series?

As usual for Kantoku’s releases, the book concludes with several pages of line art and rough sketch images.
Fans of Kantoku’s work can purchase the ‘Tachiyoumi Senyou 35′ doujin at Toranoana.
